Monitor Assistants

• Monitor Assistants help out between 4:00-6:00 p.m. or 5:00-7:30 a.m. They assist the shelter monitors during the busy hours by helping with laundry, guests' personal property bins, toiletries, towels, etc. Please call Louise at (530) 891-9048 for more information.

Special Event Volunteer

• We always need helpers for our Christmas Tree Auction fundraiser held in November of each year! If you'd like to be part of the planning committee, please call Brad at (530) 891-9048.

Provide and Serve an Evening Meal

• An evening meal is provided and served each evening at 6:00 p.m. Numerous area churches, a caterer and other individuals serve meals at the Shelter, and have committed to specific days of the month. If you would like to learn more or would like to help with an evening meal, please call Louise at (530) 891-9048.
• Please note that since we do not have a commercial kitchen at the shelter, meals must be prepared elsewhere (specifically in a commercial kitchen) OR be something suitable for preparation in our warming kitchen (for example, canned soups, sandwiches and/or salads).

Newsletter

• Coordinate the production of the newsletter. Pick up copies from the printer; fold, seal, label them; collate by zip code and batch for post office.

Laundry

• We can use help washing the bedding. Please call Louise at (530) 891-9048 if you would like to help with the laundry.
