For the past several years people from our community, including individuals, families and businesses, have joined our People Helping People team by making monthly donations to the Shelter. It costs us about $15 per person per night to provide shelter and related services. Members of our “PHP” team pledge a donation each and every month so that people experiencing homelessness can begin their lives again. Our PHP team is helping to build a stable, sustainable future for the Torres Community Shelter and the people we serve.

To set up automating monthly PHP donations using your credit card or a PayPal account, please use the dropdown box to choose your monthly PHP donation amount, then click "donate":

Here are several other easy ways to join our PHP team and donate monthly:

• Send us a monthly check. If you use online billing paying, many of the banks will mail the check for you! Mail donations to: The Torres Community Shelter, 101 Silver Dollar Way, Chico, CA 95928; or
• Easier yet, you can have your donations sent to us automatically each month from your checking account by signing an authorization form and mailing it back to us along with a voided check. Click here to print an automatic donation form, or call us at (530) 891-9048 and we will mail one to you; or
• Check to see if your employer offers payroll deduction. Some employers in the area may even match your donation. Ask them!
